WILDER VS. FURY II PREVIEW

The first time these two met was for a title fight back in 2018, and it was one of the best boxing events of the decade. Fury surprised Wilder for most of the match and looked poised to snatch the belt, but Wilder came roaring back in the later rounds and nearly knocked out Fury in the waning seconds of the final round to cap a dramatic back-and-forth affair that ended in a controversial draw.

Since then, the heavyweights have each taken two fights in the leadup to this blockbuster matchup and both fighters scored victories in those contests. While Wilder earned a pair of vicious knockouts, crushing both Dominic Breazeale and Luis Ortiz, Fury’s fights were a bit more complicated. First he beat up on a heavily-outmatched Tom Schwarz, but then fell behind and was forced to rally after suffering an awful cut above his eye to beat Otto Wallin on points.
